Turks shoot down Russian War plane

World war 3 coming soon, this Syria conflict is gonna be one big headache.
Pictures of the plane that apparently strayed into Turkish border coming down, but not 100% sure if Turks shot it down though that is what is being reported.

The plane may not have strayed but was on the Syria Turkey border,
Russians have been bombing Turkmens in Syria who have been at war with Assad for years but are not ISIS.
The Pilots are safe parachuted out.

It's silly for the Russians to be flying so close to the border. There won't be a war because neither can afford it. They can pick on Kurds or smaller stakes like Georgia and Ukraine, but a serious war would break both of their economies.

The downed plane is an SU24 bomber - no confirmation it was Russian yet. Anyway, the Turkish border is a known area of operations for the anti-Assad opposition not ISIS.

Interesting story about someone blowing up the Crimea's electricity supply as well. Most if the Crimea is without power now.
It's tempting to succumb to conspiracy theories about the coincidental timing of these two things. Is someone trying to tighten the screws on Putin? Probably not, but he's had a bad few days.

Has anyone off here ever spent time in central Asia?
I'm guessing a handful off here would have been to Afghanistan in the forces or whatever, but anyone actually travelled round all them 'stan countries?
If so please post INTERESTING stories.
